Château Life Drawing with Anne Noble-Partridge
Renowned London Drawing founder returns for a week of life drawing and portrait drawing/painting workshops in which you’ll create a beautiful look for your life model with our costumes and atmospheric settings. 1-2-1s, yoga classes, lake swims, outings, feasts and a pop-up show all part of the fun
Time and Place
01 Jun 2026, 15:30 – 07 Jun 2026, 12:00
Château de Saçy, 1 Rue Verte, 60190 Sacy-le-Petit, France
What's Happening
DRAWING AND PAINTING FROM THE LIFE MODEL WITH AN 18th-CENTURY TWIST
Over the week's daily workshops for all levels, expert tutor Anne Noble Partridge, director of the famed London Drawing (and brilliantly hilarious Renaissance Selfies), will help you explore the largely untouched beauty of the château to conjure up a striking portrait of the life model, using lush, textured objects, costumes, fabrics and backdrops.
The start of the week will focus on drawing in different ways, with structured exercises, and provide a chance to brush up on skills. The second part will be about setting up the model's look and long pose, and drawing or painting them in your chosen medium, with assistance and tuition from Anne (who will discuss materials and transportation of your work ahead of the week).
As well as the five workshops, each guest will have two 20-minute 1-2-1s with Anne. There will be six guests at the most.
On the final day we'll exhibit your pieces in the château for an evening of admiration and celebration
There are many peaceful spaces to work in – the salon, the barn, the gardens, the studio - and all bedrooms have a desk
YOGA

The beautiful old barn, or the front lawn, makes a perfect space for pre-breakfast Vinyasa Flow yoga classes, run for all levels by popular Sacy regular Megane Thiboust. These will clear your mind and prepare you for the focus of the day ahead.
FOOD AND DRINK

Meals will be Ottolenghi-inspired, largely vegetarian, nutritious and locally sourced where possible. We can cater for various diets on request.
Each participant will pair up with another to prepare one dinner, with ingredients and recipe supplied and help at hand.
Coffee, tea, fruit, pastries, bread and cheese will be available throughout the day in a separate communal kitchen.
Wine will be served with dinner.
