What's Happening
How to Shoot a Portrait
Join us for a week dedicated to the art of image-making. Award-winning photographer and film-maker Olivia Rutherford will carefully help you hone your skills to make beautiful portraits that convey not just a look but a feeling. A great photograph is taken in a split second.  That ‘click’ will be supported with engaging workshops and tutorials considering light, composition, storytelling and communication - whether you're shooting street portraits in the nearby town of Pont Sainte Maxence or traditional set-ups at the picturesque château. The best camera is the one in your hand! Come with your DSLR or a smartphone and get the most out of it. You'll find plenty of magical outfits and props in the dressing-up room at Sacy and will come away with a framed portrait to be proud of.
Yoga
Vinyasa Flow sessions indoors or out will leave you feeling rejuvenated and strong, with sequences designed to open up the body, unblock trapped energy and release tension.Â
Food and Drink
Meals will be largely vegetarian, Ottolenghi-inspired, locally sourced where possible and will include local cheeses and cuisine. Coffee, tea, fruit, and pastries will be available throughout the day. Wine will be served with dinner. Each guest will prepare one dinner as a pair, with ingredients and recipes supplied and help at hand.
Outing
On Thursday, we will visit Chateau de Chantilly, with its magnificent masterpieces and gardens, or you can visit Paris, half an hour away by train
Free time
In your free time, you can walk to the Chapelle Saint Catherine, a spot visited by Joan of Arc in the nearby woods, go swimming in a lake, ride a bike to the farmshop, learn to walk the tightrope, or just soak up the atmosphere at the chateau.
A special guest speaker may join us for dinner.Â
A year's membership of our arts association is also included.
