POETRY WITH LUKE WRIGHT
Award-winning poet and radio regular Luke Wright will guide a small group of writers through immersive workshops and one-to-one tutorial sessions. In the golden light of the gardens, salons and historic rooms of Château de Saçy, you’ll hone elegant, wide-ranging poems and build the confidence to share them—on the page or the stage. All writers welcome.
Your own room, all in-house meals, yoga classes and drink are included.
All bedrooms have a desk and there are other peaceful spaces to work in – the salon, the barn, the gardens, the studio.
YOGA
The magnificent old barn makes a perfect space for pre-breakfast optional yoga classes, run for all levels by Sacy regular Megane Thiboust. These will limber you up, clear your mind and prepare you for the focus of the day ahead.
FOOD & DRINK

Meals are Ottolenghi-inspired, largely vegetarian, nutritious, locally or garden sourced where possible and much enjoyed by our guests. We can cater for dietary restrictions.
Each participant will pair up with another to prepare one dinner, with ingredients and recipe supplied and help at hand.
Coffee, tea, fruit and snacks will be available throughout the day in a separate communal kitchen.
Wine will be served with dinner
OUTING
Saturday Luke will be leaving on Saturday morning, so the last retreat day will be a good time to see something of Picardy. There are fascinating places nearby - Auvers sur Oise where Van Gogh died, Compiegne where Napoleon lived and the magnificent Chateau de Chantilly. We can go for just lunch and a local swim, or you could jump on a half-hour train to spend the day in Paris.
